Dorsal Ventral Asymmetry
Dorsal Ventral Asymmetry is a term in biology that describes the up-down asymmetry in our (animal) body plan. Gravity being what it is, there are lots of inevitable differences between up and down. Down is where the friction is, up is where the sunlight comes from, and things fall on you. Up is also associated with sublimation of our animalistic instincts, down with baseness, naturalness: up with intellectual sphere, down with physicality. We built around us civilized world, but we keep our volnurable bellies, unarmed with rational thought, close to the ground and nature.
